We arrange Teddington minicabs for local trips, rugby days and fixed-price airport runs, 24 hours a day. Teddington is a riverside town just north of Kingston, across the river in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. Book online or call 020 3740 4439.
Teddington: river, park and High Street
Teddington Lock marks the point where the Thames stops being tidal, and the footbridges there are a favourite walk. Bushy Park stretches along the south-west side of the town. The High Street and Broad Street have the shops, restaurants and pubs, and Teddington station has trains towards Kingston and towards Twickenham and Richmond. The National Physical Laboratory is also based here.

Match days at Twickenham
Twickenham Stadium is only a couple of miles away, and on match days the roads between Teddington and the stadium are crowded. Book early, especially if you need a 7 seater for a group. After the game, roads near the stadium can be closed, so agree a meeting point a short walk away and call 020 3740 4439 if you are delayed.
Close to Heathrow
Teddington is on the west side of the river and not far from Heathrow, so airport runs are usually quick. See our fixed-price Heathrow taxi page. For longer flights from Gatwick, the route heads back across Kingston Bridge and down the A3.
Into Kingston and beyond
Many Teddington residents use Kingston for shopping and the hospital. A minicab saves the walk to the station and the wait for a bus over Kingston Bridge. For regular school journeys, see our school run taxi service.
Where we pick up
We cover Teddington, Strawberry Hill and the roads around Bushy Park and the lock. Neighbouring Hampton Wick is between Teddington and Kingston Bridge.
Getting into Kingston from Teddington
The quickest way into Kingston is through Hampton Wick and over Kingston Bridge. On weekday mornings and Saturday afternoons, queues for the bridge can add time, so allow a few extra minutes for appointments in Kingston. For trips west, to Hampton, Sunbury or Heathrow, you avoid the bridge.
Bushy Park and the riverside
Bushy Park is one of the largest open spaces in the area, with deer roaming freely and long avenues that are popular for walks. Many visitors walk from one gate to another and want a car back from a different gate. Agree the gate when you book. If you have your dog with you, book a pet friendly taxi, and remember dogs should be kept on a lead near the deer.
Places we often drive to
- Teddington station and Kingston station.
- Twickenham town centre and Twickenham Stadium.
- Richmond, a short drive north along the river, and on to Chiswick.
- Kingston Hospital and Kingston town centre.
Teddington Lock footbridges
The footbridges at Teddington Lock cross the river to Ham, but cars cannot use them. If you are walking along the Thames Path and want to be collected on the other side, remember the driving route between Teddington and Ham is much longer than the walk. Agree which side of the river you will be on when you book.
