We arrange Wimbledon minicabs for the town centre, Wimbledon Village and the streets around the Common, with pick-ups 24 hours a day. Wimbledon is east of Kingston in the London Borough of Merton. Book online or call 020 3740 4439.
Town centre, Village and Common
Wimbledon has two sides. Down the hill is the town centre around the station and The Broadway, with the Centre Court Shopping Centre and the New Wimbledon Theatre. Up the hill is Wimbledon Village, with its High Street of shops and restaurants, and beyond it Wimbledon Common with the windmill. The All England Lawn Tennis Club, home of The Championships, is between the Village and Southfields.
The tennis fortnight
Every summer, The Championships bring huge crowds to Wimbledon. Roads around the grounds get very busy and some have traffic restrictions. If you are going, book early, agree drop-off and pick-up points that work with the restrictions, and keep your phone on. Groups can share a 7 seater taxi.

A busy station
Wimbledon station is a big interchange, with South Western Railway, the District line, Thameslink and trams. If you are arriving late or with luggage, a pre-booked car home saves the queue. Agree an exact meeting point when you book, as the roads outside the station are busy.
Airports and London
From Wimbledon, Gatwick is usually reached via south London and the M23, and Heathrow via the A3 or through Kingston. Fares are fixed when you book: see Gatwick taxi and London City Airport taxi. For central London stations, see Victoria.
Where we pick up
We cover Wimbledon town centre, Wimbledon Village, South Wimbledon and the streets around the Common, plus nearby Raynes Park. To the west, New Malden and Kingston Vale have their own pages.
Two ways from Wimbledon to Kingston
There are two common routes between Wimbledon and Kingston. One goes over the top of Wimbledon Common and down Kingston Hill. The other goes through Raynes Park and New Malden. Both can be slow at peak times, and the driver will pick the quicker one on the day. Off-peak, the trip usually takes 15 to 25 minutes.
Theatre, shopping and nights out
Wimbledon town centre has the New Wimbledon Theatre, a big shopping centre and plenty of restaurants and bars. If you are heading out for the evening, book your ride home at the same time and agree a pick-up point, as The Broadway is busy late at night. For Wimbledon Village, the High Street is quieter but parking is limited, so a side-road pick-up is often easiest.
Places we often drive to

- Kingston town centre and Kingston Hospital.
- The All England Club during The Championships.
- Putney and Southfields along the edge of the Common.
Raynes Park and South Wimbledon
We also take bookings from Raynes Park and South Wimbledon. Raynes Park station has trains to Waterloo and towards Kingston and Epsom, and it is a common pick-up point for people living between Wimbledon and New Malden. South Wimbledon has a Northern line station on the edge of Merton.
